Once Upon a Beautiful Sunset

Two things I love about living in Mexico.. the beach.. and amazing sunsets. Combine them together you get bliss.

I love how the sunset can be reflected against rocks.

The water changes so many colors when the sun sets. Right before the sun disappears it looks like  the sea is being lit from underneath.

Sunsets are so beautiful that they almost seem as if we are looking through the gates of Heaven.

Tis' the season to bake cookies!

Sometimes, I like to bake just to take a photo. Food photography is a lot of fun, and, a way better thing to occupy yourself then eating the cookin' itself.

Tis' the season to bake cookies!
I like making pretty cookies, and christmas time is the perfect time to do so!
This time.. Sugar cookies!

Enjoy!

The Learning Curve

Learning: The knowledge or skill acquired by instruction or study.Easier said then done… right? I am teaching two Gr. 2 students at the moment. (Yes, they both smiled the same for these photos...not intentionally)

Within this job, I’m learning how to teach, and how to help children learn and overcome obstacles. Also, easier said then done. It can be full of rough times, squabbling complaints, and staggered laziness, which all test my patience as their teacher. But, in other cases, they pick up on the fact that learning can actually by fun.

When I was helping Anna with the homework a few days ago, I decided to capture learning the best I could. Her face tells it all! :)

My first official photo session with a toddler...

"My first official photo session with a toddler...." That alone should sound scary, knowing how actively busy they are, running all over the place. But I will say, I rather enjoyed running abound, crawling on the ground, and trying to get him to look at me. He was a joy to capture.
